Week two is in the books on the Brian and Melissa Audia marathon training tour. Here are the highlights from the log: Poppaw helped out by spending the night Friday and watching Caleb and Joshua as we took off for our nine mile run on Saturday, which we finished in 1:33, about a 10:20 leisurely pace for us. That’s the longest we have run to date so we took a couple of walking breaks to drink water and recover after miles three and six that really weren’t needed, but it is easier to drink while you are walking. That explains the slower than normal pace. Today, we ran a nice 9:28 pace for three miles on a little jaunt that is more typical of our normal speed. For the week, we ran a total of 20 miles. We both feel good, but we are sore! We had a leg massage on Saturday and it was very painful... I thought those people were called therapists!
