Partnership Discussions with the North American Mission Board

I met with Dave Howard of the North American Mission Board today. Appropriately, we ate at Chip’s Southern Cookin’ (The Surgance chairman of the board is Chip Riggs)! As you can tell, we both broke out our “The Back of the Napkin” skills to begin our potential partnership discussions.

Dave’s a great friend providing leadership to churches around the country that are interested in local and national outreach projects. Sounds like an opportunity for partnership! As you guys well know, Surgance owes a great debt of gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers from churches and faith-based entities that serve alongside us and donate to our projects or to our organization each year.

“When in Rome...”

Living in New York City and Las Vegas, I rarely get to discuss business over authentic Southern cooking. But after eating this delicacy, it was probably no surprise that Dave and I agreed that our meeting was productive and strategic. We vowed to meet again soon...

Oh, and we made plans to work together too.
