SCORE International and Surgance: Common Ground (Dominican Republic)

SCORE International President Ron Bishop and Surgance baseball and softball glove program director Dave Audia agree to work together to collect, ship and distribute thousands of baseball gloves together in the Dominican Republic.

SCORE has connections throughout the world that will assist with procurement, logistics and distribution. They are another Surgance uncommon partner on common ground producing remarkable results.

This partnership will serve those in need in the D.R and in North American urban centers in the days to come.

The Surgance Glove Program Featured by Major League Baseball Affiliates

Clockwise from the left; program director Dave Audia, Surgance board member and marketing director Sharon Howard and operations director Dr. Courtney Cash develop further strategic plans for the Surgance baseball and softball program for underprivileged youth.

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ AA team, the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Toronto Blue Jays’ AAA team, the Las Vegas 51’s are promoting the work in the next two weeks.

Surgance Helps People That Are Hurting

An article from the Las Vegas Sun was passed to me today by rejuveNATION program director, Eric Hoenigmann. In it, the paper states that “Nevada's unemployment rate hit a record 11.3 percent statewide in May, the highest since figures started being kept in 1976.”

This is terrible news. And the reason is because those numbers that comprise that statistic are real people with real families that are hurting or anxious about their future. Many turn to state solutions, houses of worship or nonprofits like Surgance for assistance. Rest assured we are doing everything we can to help as many people as possible with everything we have.

Volunteer or give to Surgance today. But if you don’t, volunteer or give to somebody that is making a difference in real people’s lives. And to all of you already doing so, thank you!

Brian Audia's Philosophy for Work and Play

My philosophy for living while at work and play as described by Lao-Tzu:

“The master of the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he is always doing both.”

Awareness to Action Seeking Surgance Partnership

New Jersey nonprofit Awareness to Action founder Kevin Pounds addressed a group of leaders in Atlanta Sunday afternoon regarding the expansion of the program through Surgance to the rest of the nation.

The program focuses on taking professionals from social awareness to social action in urban centers, partnering with nonprofits.
