Beaten by a 70 year old woman

Melissa and I just got back from running in the Melbourne and Beaches Half Marathon.

It was a lot of fun. I ran the 13.1 miles in 1:56:19 (8:53 per mile pace). Melissa ran it in 1:57:14 (8:57 pace) and she finished 16th out of 65 in her age division!

However, we must report that we were beaten soundly by an older woman. Barbara Miller, a masters runner aged 70 from Modesto, CA finished in 1:48:57, an 8:20 per mile pace! Incredible. She inspired everyone.

We had a blast!
